book!braime antis are so funny like grrm really said hmm how do I make it more obvious I’m setting this up as a love story? lets have a dream sequence in which brienne straight up dreams about marrying jaime. and then they’re all like oh wow this scene is up for interpretation as to whether its a wedding or a knighting ceremony! and then grrm is like well no actually here’s a detailed chapter-long description of how knighting works in-universe and there’s no cloak involved. the only time we’ve seen a ceremony in which someone ties a cloak around another person is in a wedding. and they’re like ooh he’s being so vague I guess we’ll never know :)
